Shea Butter Miracle Product Review

                                                        Hi Lovelies,

I HAVE to share with you all about African Prides Shea Butter Miracle Silky Hair Moisturizer.

I have used this moisturizer for 4 months and since then it has worked amazingly. I’ve noticed that my hair feels more moisturised, the strands feels thicker and it lasts a long time.
I have bought moisturisers which when applied feel like it’s doing the job but when I leave the house it’s another story ; the frizz is unbelievable. I have also bought moisturisers which are to heavy or sticky for my hair and when oil is applied, to seal in the moisture, it becomes thick and stickier.

The other amazing factors I love about this product is that it is affordable, I got it for £1 from British Curlies, smells like Shea butter, it’s thick and you don’t need a lot. It also has a styling suggestion on the back!!

Honey and Olive Oil Hair Rinse

                                                      Hi Lovelies,
Here we have a really fun and smell-good hair rinse consisting of just TWO ingredients: Honey and Olive Oil.

Honey is amazing for thick natural hair as it treats and reduces dandruff and frizz, it moisturises and softens the hair strands. Olive oil is also great for reducing dandruff and promoting a healthy scalp, with this DIY Rinse I prefer to use Extra Virgin Olive Oil as it contains vitamin E and high-levels of fatty acids that are important for healthy hair.

Recipe :

▫️1/2 cup of honey

▪️1/4 cup of olive oil

Mix both the honey and olive oil together and apply to damp hair from root to tip. Leave in for 10minutes. Wash out.

What’s All The Commotion Over Yoni Eggs?

Hi Lovelies

I wanted to share my experience using Yoni Eggs but i thought before i do that i should explain what they are for those who don’t know about it.

Yoni (Sanskrit for ‘vagina’ or ‘womb’) eggs are natural gemstones or crystals that are smooth in texture and are shaped into an egg of many different sizes. The use of the Yoni egg can increase the effectiveness of kegel exercises and improve hormonal, sexual and reproductive health. .

The Yoni egg is simply inserted inside the vagina (the largest end in first) , if your relaxed that is because if your not your muscles will tense resulting in a not relaxed process. Once the egg in inside you can then do kegel exercises which tensing the vaginal muscles which will move the egg up and down inside the vagina, resulting in maintaining the strength, shape and health of the vaginal muscles. To remove the egg you can either allow the egg to move its way down the vaginal canal or to use your vaginal muscles to push it out. It wont and cant get stuck, don’t worry.

Before every use ensure you sterilise and sanitise the egg. This can be done in hot water or in alcohol. Look out for any cracks as boiling hot water can cause this damage to your egg.

There are different colours, crystals and sizes. The sizes are large, medium and small. The average person starts off using a medium size and can move onto the small egg when they have worked out their vaginal muscles; the small egg is also used for those who are virgins too. The large eggs are for women who have children

The Yoni egg can be used when exercising, walking, sleeping, etc.

Mrs Milli’s Leave-In Sweetness

Hi Lovelies,

I did a product review on Mrs Milli’s Leave-In Sweetness on my YouTube Channel, which due to long working hours I haven’t been able to video more videos but that will change soon👌, 2 months ago and I’m still quite hyped up about product.

My review was based on the Aloe & Shea Butter (Pinapple and Orange) which smells absolutely GORGEOUS! The citrus smell of the two fruits were amazing and I got complements on the smell, the only criticism I got on the smell was that it was too sweet, but the fact that the smell would last more than a day was what had me.

Also if you read the ingredients you’ll notice that its absolute Organic: Aloe Vera Gel, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Vitamin E (non GMO), Orange Essential Oil, Pineapple Aroma, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Vegetable Glycerine, Geranium Essential Oil. This is a benefit for me as its not always easy to find products what are purely organic as some companies who say they’re organic will contain a few essential oils and the rest will be hidden chemicals. The labels also displays that there are NO Parabens and NO Chemicals.

For those who hair-type, the label also displays which hair-type it suits. This product is recommended for those who are 2b-3c.

I really enjoyed this product as it was so beneficial with all the oils it contained. I used this product during Exam season – the worst time ever for my hair as I get to stressed causing excessive breakage- by using my spritz bottle to wet the hair and detangle it, I then apply the Leave-In Sweetness from root to tip ( concentrating on the tips) and braid the hair. The whole Exam season I continued this routine and used a HeadWrap when I went to uni and my hair flourished! It was so strong and healthy!!

I would defiantly use this product again! My friends also noticed how good it was and ‘borrowed’ some 😂. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT

Review of DIY Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner

Hey Lovelies,

The last blog I posted was a DIY Coconut Milk Leave-in Conditioner recipe which totally enjoy.

Due to being busy with work and study from 9am-10pm I have sadly neglected my hair which caused it to become dry and brittle. I washed and deep conditioned my hair and then went back to my normal hair routine however, shortly after that I become sick resulting in my body to feel weak. Once again my hair became a victim of this too as all I wanted to was sleep, normally when I’m sick I put my hair into big plaits that way it’s easier to look after and retains moisture when I’m unable to attend to it, but this time I didn’t.

After realising this I made my DIY Coconut Milk Leave-in Conditioner and sprayed it on my hair before bed and leaving the house the next day and already it feels quite hydrated. I’ve noticed:

◾️ Hair feels hydrated and moisturised . It doesn’t feel dry or brittle.

◽️Sooo much more easier to detangle *phew*

◾️Provided a very nice shine to the hair instead of the dull appearance it has when it’s dry.

◽️Holds onto the hair. I find that just using water, in my spritz bottle, doesn’t hold onto my hair as much which results in adding more and then having completely damp hair.

◾️Smells just like Coconut! Now who wouldn’t want that, huh?!

◽️Due to the natural coconut oil within the Coconut Milk I don’t need to add oil. This I only do when I want to add a hair product to my hair straight before I leave as Leave-in Conditioners hydrates and conditions the hair. I’ve bought and made leave-in conditioners which don’t have any oil which results in oiling my hair after.

◾️Kept the ends of my hair well hydrated. Keeping the ends of your hair hydrated is important because if don’t this causes split-ends and breakage. It’s all about retaining your hair length by looking after the end of the hair shaft.

Seems good? Try it!

Not only is it beneficial for your hair but for your purse too. The recipe is simple. If you don’t want to buy Vitamin E or Essential Oils then your just looking at the price of Coconut milk. It’s cost efficient.

Are Sanitary towels and Tampons Toxic?!

Are Sanitary towels and Tampons Toxic?!

Most of us are now aware and conscious in what we eat, apply to our body and hair, avoiding all harmful and unwanted chemicals and aiming to be as natural as we can right?

I bet the one place your not checking for chemicals is the feminine aisle.

Just about everything that is in immediate contact to your skin is absorbed through and enters straight into the bloodstream, due to our skin being permeable, and is taken all around our body. Due to the chemicals being absorbed via the skin they are able to enter our organs and build up as we don’t have the enzymes to break it all down.

What’s in my Sanitary Towels and Tampons?

Dioxin is a by-product of Chlorine Bleaching, this is why sanitary towels and tampons look pearly white, and is well known to cause a disturbance to the endocrine system as it imitates oestrogen and altered hormone functions. There is also evidence that it suppresses the immune system and even a cause to breast cancer, cervical cancer, abnormal cell growth, endometriosis, reproductive and developmental problems. Once this chemical enters your body it stores in the fatty tissues where it will continue to accumulate.

Rayon is another synthetic fibre made from wood pulp which is chlorine bleached as this increases the sanitary towels absorbency, Surfactants are also added into tampons for the same purpose. Rayon and Surfactants don’t just absorb menstrual blood, they also absorb normal healthy vaginal secretion causing vaginal dryness. What’s also quite scary is that these tiny fibres can also embed themselves into the vaginal wall causing Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).

Synthetic fragrances such as Genetically Modified Cotton and Pesticide residues have also been found to lurk within the products we trust. Imagine that this is what is absorbed into our bloodstream and organs, YUCK!

Also, not to mention… artificial fragrances, odorous neutralisers, artificial colours, polyester and other plastics (PEGs, PET ) are linked to infertility, vaginal dryness, cancer, hormone defects and due to the obstruction on air this traps in heat and dampness which promotes the production of yeast and bacteria.

Be AWARE of TSS!!!

Toxic Shock Syndrome is a life-threatening condition which should be checked with a health professional is any of the following symptoms occur:

• Diarrhoea and vomiting
• Low blood pressure
• Seizures
• High fever
• Muscle aches
• Redness of your eyes, mouth and/or throat

What’s the Natural Alternative Way…?
